Qualification to become a Lawyer or Law
For five-year law course, you must have passed 12th. After 12th there is CLAT exam, only after passing it you get admission. For this exam, it is mandatory to pass in 12th with 50% marks.
For Bachelor's degree of 5 years, students must have at least 45% marks in class XII in any recognized board (any stream).
If students want to do three years of LLB, then they must have a graduate degree.
Scores of English Language Tests such as IELTS/TOEFL / PTE for Study Abroad .
To take admission in law program, one needs to clear exams like CLAT, Law National Aptitude Test (LNAT).
SOP , LOR , CV/Resume and Portfolio are also required to be submitted for studying in foreign university .

What is CLAT?
If you want to study LLB from a good and top college in the country, then you have to pass the CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) exam. This test is done to get admission in the top law university of the country.
What is the qualification required for CLAT?
To fill the form of CLAT exam, you have to pass 12th with any stream with at least 45 percent marks for General and OBC category students and the same for SC / ST students it is mandatory to have 12th pass of 40 percent.
What is the syllabus of CLAT?
CLAT exam is of two hours and there are 200 questions, one mark is given for each question and there is negative marking of 1/4 for every wrong answer i.e. for 4 wrong answers, your 1 mark will be deducted.
Questions are asked from 5 subjects, which include English, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Maths, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning etc.
How to become a lawyer in High Court?
After doing LLB, you have to get a license from the State Bar Council, without the license you cannot fight the case of any client. After taking the license, you should have at least 5 years experience of practicing in the lower court, only after that you can practice in the high court. The same if you want to practice directly in the High Court, then you can do internship directly under any lawyer of the High Court.
